As of today, Wednesday August 18th, 2010 Chunky Monkey Photography is on vacation and will not return to the office until August 27th. Any phone calls, emails or Facebook comments will be returned upon my arrival home. I will NOT have any access to the internet or phone during my time away.

WOW....I did not realize it has been a WHOLE 2 months since I have posted on here!!! Lets just say life has been CRAZY busy and has gotten away from me! In the past two months I have had the joy of meeting so many new families, seeing some of my amazing CMP families and celebrating many great times with my family! Some crazy things have happen along the way as well......my modem broke so I have had NO internet in my office (still don't...waiting on hubby to get that fixed), had some crazy runs to the ER with my daughter and her asthma and to top it all off....ALL THIS CRAZY RAIN!! It has made a joke out of ANY schedule that ANY onlocation photographer would want to follow! And it does not look like its going to let up at any point! BUT....life is still great....Wet & All!

Three quick things I wanted to put out here...I promise some BIG TIME posts with some great previews coming very soon!!!!!

1. CMP will be closed May 9th-May 14th. I will not be returning any calls or emails during that time. I will come home to a busy weekend so it will prb be the following Monday that I get started on all of that!

2. May AND June are both CLOSED for booking (except my newborns!!!) at this time. July and August are now open for booking! June's mini session will be announced soon!

3. As of April 28, 2010...the wait time of ALL CD's are 2-3 weeks. With my daughters health and some other things going on in my personal life....instead of being "behind", I am going to go ahead and make this change. It will be 2-3 weeks for any future dates as well. I will still be working just as hard and dedicated to getting your memories edited and done within my usual 2 weeks time frame and then mailed to you BUT with everything going on, there will be times in the near future that I will be unable to sit and edit all night long! I want to make sure I am giving 100% to each picture! Please note that the 2-3 week wait for your CD does NOT include the mail time!

Again, thank you everyone for a GREAT start of 2010! There are so many things happening this year that I can't wait to share each and everything with you all!

A gymnast in the making?

Another AMAZING newborn!! This little girl pretty much allowed me to move, scrunch, bend, fold in whatever way I want to. It must fun in the family……her parents are gymnasts! This little girl better grow up with her energy level on high…she has two big brothers who are just waiting to show her the ropes! She is surrounded with so much love….she is just perfect! Thanks Chris and Kim for allowing me to come back and meet your precious baby girl and capture these perfect memories! Can't wait to see you again soon!

And this one was FANTASTIC to work with!!! He pretty much slept the whole time and when he was awake, he was VERY calm and quiet. Never once did he cry. BUT…the one thing this boy knows how to do is to POOP! Its amazing how little ones can surprise you! I love his images and I hope you do too!

The "Glow"

I love maternity pictures. Not only because mommies-to-be's are beautiful and have that "glow" about them….but I know whats coming and I can't wait for the newborn session!! This maternity session was a blast. We went back to where the couple had their engagement pictures done along time ago so it had a lot of memories! Their little girl was a lot of fun and full of energy! I can't wait to see them again soon for bunny pictures and to meet the new little addition!

This little man is growing up so fast! It feels just like yesterday we did his newborn session. Now he is 7 months and is trying to crawl and is a movin and a shakin! He toughed it out with me in the cold windy weather but I think this little man could handle just about anything! I have a feeling that over the next two sessions to finish up his 1st year plan….he is going to keep his mom and myself on our toes!!

I first met this family back in the summer before baby brother made his debut while we played on the beach! When we saw each other again for Christmas pictures….baby brother had just made his arrival and I had fun "sticking him" in boxes under the tree. Now….he is 3 months old and I could have just squeezed his cheeks forever! Even though it was cold for our session, the boys did great and I think we got some fun shots! Thanks again mom for sticking it out with me!

This little guy and me hit it off from day one! I met him we he was just a few weeks old for his newborn shoot. When his mom said they were going to do the 1st year package…I could not wait!! Now he is 6 months old and his personality is just as adorable as his cute face! We were forced to go indoors due to the weather but nonetheless…..he is just perfect!

Happy 2nd Birthday Little Tinkerbell!!! We had a very quick, cold but fun session. Her birthday party is a tinkerbell theme so this dress fits it perfectly. We wanted to put her in a "forest look"…all we were missing was her fairy dust! Smiles or no smiles…her eyes tell you everything. Thanks for coming out and baring the cold….it was totally worth it!

Vintage Valentines Day #2 seemed to be a difficult session to complete. Between the downpours, snow, below freezing temps…..we were starting to think it was not going to happen. Last Sunday, a few of us ventured out to complete the session. It was FREEZING cold…it took awhile for me to get feelings in my fingers when I got in the car. BUT, to say the least, I think the images we got were totally worth it! Check this one out…how beautiful is she! You can't even tell she was FREEZING!!

I have said it before and I will keep saying it…I LOVE 6 month olds. Typically its because their are in this SUPER cute stage with super cute expressions and they are still pretty stationary. Well, this little one has all the above BUT she is FAR from being stationary. She is on the move! Pulling up! Crawling EVERYWHERE!! I have the honor to follow her though her first year and I love it. I am getting to see her turn from sweet angel newborn to precious christmas angel (3mo) to a beautiful ladybug! I can't wait for her 9 month session….we get to venture back out in the warm weather and have some fun!

Have I ever told you how much I love my job?! This is the exact reason why I do. Amazing families, with amazing kiddos who allow me in their lives to capture some amazing memories. This family just welcomed (well, 3 months ago) this sweet angel into their world. Mom wanted to capture some 3 month pictures along with some family ones as well. We were supposed to go out onlocation but with this crazy weather, we were forced to stay indoors, which I am so glad we did. We got some very raw, emotional, loving memories. Thank you again K family and I can't wait to see you guys again soon! Maybe this time….we can venture out to see what kind of trouble we can find….I will bring the sugar!

Princess K- 3month old

3 month sessions can be difficult and one Sunday morning- I had two in a row. To say the least, I was a bit worried about how they would go. 3 month olds are in that in-between stage of newborns and "growing up". They are just learning to hold their heads up well, learning they have hands (which are always in their mouths) and a lot of other stuff that can make a session a challenge. BUT...this (well, both that day!) little one did just perfect!! She is going to be a complete joy to photograph over the next year! And check out her two bff's.....they came dressed and ready for a quick picture with their best friend...all decked out in Chunky Monkey Outfits (done by www.frugalmommyof2girls.blogspot.com). I can't wait for her next session in just a few short months!

I have said it again and I will keep saying it...I love SENIOR sessions!!! They are sooo much fun. You get to capture one of the most special times in their lives...they are almost FREE of high school, parents (which they will quickly learn they will miss!), chores, etc.....they get to go to college and LIVE it up! So...to say the least, they are normally very excited and willing to have some fun. This beautiful girl was NO different! We had a blast! She actually is going to do another session in the spring so she can do a totally different wardrobe- gotta love it! Can't wait!!

A special maternity session!

So, I am a bit behind on blogging.....January has ended up being a very busy month! I have a few sessions that I want to share with you all!

This session was a very fun one for me! This momma-to- be (again) is a sister of a very good friend of mine. I was excited when she asked me to document her journey to welcome their baby girl into the world.

Now, I will backtrack for just a moment- bare with me. Many photographers will say that when they were little, they always had a camera in their hands. My dream (LONG SHOT OF ONE!!) was to do gymnastics. I grew up watching all the greats compete. When I was just entering into the right age to "try" gymnastics, the great Zmeskal was the one that I loved to watch! When I met my good friend a few years ago, I found out that they were actually sisters. Pretty cool uh? Well, I met her a few times and finally got to do pictures of her most adorable boys for the first time over this past Halloween. I have obviously given up the dream to be a gymnast but the thought of me as a little girl, dreaming to be like her still makes me smile. Now, I get to document the great Zmeskal in her ALL time best....being a MOM!

Now...just wait for the newborn session preview (once the little princess makes her debut)...it will be one you won't want to miss!

A day in the life.....

A day in the life......I so badly want to be better this year at capturing my own little one in her everyday activities. So many things she does makes me go "awwww" or "ugghhh!" but its all cute and she is so smart! This is the first thing she did when she got out of bed....they were hungary for breakfast too!

This was about 5 mins before we headed over for Nana's birthday dinner. She was dressed in her "party" dress with her crown..her wand was somewhere. She was NOT happy about something. Thinking about printing this for my wall....lol.

Sweet baby girl. I was honored to be at the hospital the day she was born and then we followed up with newborn pictures about 1.5 weeks later. She did amazing!!! I am excited that she will be a 1st Year Planner and I will get to watch her grow!

Her big sister is a total ham and makes me laugh....more of her to come soon too!

I love newborns! They are just always so perfect, soft and beautiful! This little girl was NO different! The only thing about this princess is she did not like to be naked (atleast on that day) so we will be doing some more later this week! You have to capture that sweet baby before she gets tooo big...too fast! Anyways, mom and dad were great (as always) and I look forward to getting to watch this little one grow up!

The Wright Wedding

Weddings are always a lot of fun to attend. A romantic ceremony, yummy food, fantastic cake, lots of dancing and you may even catch the bouquet or garter! Its VERY different when you are behind the camera during a wedding (not to say they are still not a blast!!!). You get to see a total different side of the wedding. All of the emotions that go in to the special day. This wedding was a very special wedding for me to shoot. They are close friends of my husband and I. And to top it off, my husband was in the wedding. To get to experience their road to the alter with them has been amazing and getting to stand on the stage and capture their special moment in time was just incredible. Lauren and Brent- Congratulations on your special day! It was beautiful and you guys are just made for each other. Lots of love! Enjoy your quick preview that walks you though the day!

Goodbye 2009, Welcome 2010!

Well, we made it! 2010 is just around the corner! This has been a great year. This time last year I was making a BIG leap of faith while jumping into 2009. I had quit my full time job to pursue my photography full time. With the economy the way it was, to say the least my husband and I were a bit nervous but it was now or never. NOW could not have happened at a better time! Jan 1st came and brought a year of amazing things for my family and for Chunky Monkey. Its not to say that I personally did not go though some hard times, trials and tribulations, my family experienced some sad and trying times that will fall into 2010 but everything that we experienced has only made us smarter in so many ways and stronger than we could ever expect! Now looking into the face of 2010, there are a few obstacles that we will have to overcome but I am soooo excited! There are so many things happening with CMP and so many things that I can not wait to announce!

Now, I can say that obviously my year was not amazing all on my own. I had SO many supporters and so many people that helped me in so many ways- some that will never know their part in my great year! There are a few people that I believe deserve a moment in the spotlight!

Brian- My wonderful, supporting husband! Without you, my year would not have been so amazing. You have stood by me, supported me in every way possible! Though the all-nighters, every "hey, come look at this picture!", and "what do you think about this?"....you have been amazing and I can not thank you enough!

Nana and Papaw- My wonderful parents and the worlds most AMAZING babysitters! I think they had my daughter almost as much as I did at some points throughout the year. Every time I turned around and needed them, they were there! Kendyl loves her Nana and Papaw and I cant imagine my life without them! (Nor could I imagine my Christmas sessions without one the greatest Santas!!)

My Kiddos- WOW! You two are the reason I do this! To be able to stay home with Kendyl and watch everything she does! I felt like I missed out so much on her first year and now I am able to see every moment and every minute of her growing up and I love it! And Austin....well, lets just say his eyes never stuck in the back of his head from the rolling of the eyes that COULD have taken place EVERY time I said...LETS GO DO PICTURES!!! 12 years old dont like to do that...but he did...with a smile! And all the hours he would be visiting and playing with his sister for hours on end to help me get though some editing! I love you guys!

My MOST wonderful friends (aka: customers!)- Without you all this would not be possible. I love being a part of your families, watching your kiddos growing up and having a blast at each and every session! (Even the heat, cold, etc!!). Its amazing to be a part of it and I thank you so much! I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us and meet all those additions that will grace us with their arrivals this year!!

Now- to end the year, I would LOVE to say that I have a picture of my kiddos ready to show off but I don't....sad face. My daughter is back in the stage of not smiling for a real picture so we will be working on that as her resolution for 2010..lol. But, I do have a few pictures that I want to show off of someone that is just as near and dear to my heart. My bff of wow....over 20 years! We have seen each other though so much and this coming year is a very special year to her! She is getting married to a wonderful man! I got the privilege of spending a COLD, WET but FUN afternoon with them and getting some fun engagement pictures! Congratulations Taryn and Robert....you guys are amazing and I wish nothing but the best for you guys! I can't wait to get my hands on those little ones that should be coming sooner than later (no pressure!!!). I love you guys!

CMP on Vacation

As of tomorrow- December 16th (Wednesday), CMP will be on vacation until Sunday, Dec 19th. Any and all phone calls, emails, etc will be returned on Monday, Dec 20th. If you are waiting on a CD from me and have not recieved an email saying its in the mail, it will be making the trip with me to Florida for completion and will be either mailed from there or mailed as soon as I get back. I believe everyone has recieved their 1-2 pictures emailed for Christmas cards as requested. I am looking forward to a bit of downtime and spending some well needed time with my WHOLE family in a condo on the beach (even if it is going to be FREEZING!!).

I hope everyone has a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY Happy New Year! This will def not be my last blog of the year so make sure you check back...I really want to show off all the photos I have not been able to blog in the past weeks due to trying to get everyone's photos edited and out on time!!

3month Session

Now....his mom will know what I mean when I say....this boy LOVES to be naked! :) We went out for his 3 month session and it was a bit chilly. The first hour or so he was dressed SOOO cute but he was NOT very happy. We still managed to get some cute pics inbetween the tears. Then we changed him into the santa outfit...he fell right to sleep so we played a bit with that. Then when mom was changing him to leave...he woke up, (nothing but diaper) and was ALL smiles. So...we tried to cover him with a blanket in hopes to keep him somewhat warm and he just loved chillin just like he was! Who would have known! Super cute baby and I can't wait to watch him grow....he is a First Year Baby!! :)

The time has come for CHRISTMAS CARDS!!!

This year has been SOOOO crazy that I never had time to design Chunky Monkey Photographys Christmas Cards myself so I turned to a wonderful and talented customer of mine. Thank you Shara for your talent, time and help with this! She took the time to create 6 cards for CMP only!

(One is not posted...will be posted by tomorrow....making one quick change to it!)

How it works:

1. Pick the card you want

2. Pick your picture (s) that you want in your card. All of the images you recieve have IMG #'s on your CD's. You will just have to tell me which session it was and the IMG number(s). No need to send me an email with the pictures attached!

3. Tell me the names you would like on the cards

4. Confirm your address for delivery of your cards

5. Pay for your order on PAYPAL only within 24 hours. Once your order has been paid for, your christmas card order will be placed. They will print within 24 hours of the order being placed and ship directly to your home! If you have to pay by check, your order can not be placed until your payment has been recieved.

Shipping

Ground Shipping for your order is $6. At the same time of placing your order for your Christmas Cards, you can also place an order for any prints you might want for Christmas presents or your own home. The shipping fee covers your WHOLE order...no matter how little or how big! Faster shipping is available for a different price.

Christmas Mini's....Day 1 Previews

November 14th Christmas Mini Previews are HERE!!!

Thank you to everyone that came out and made this mini session totally amazing! The kiddos all did great and I love ALL the pictures. I hope everyone had a GREAT thanksgiving and a fun and safe Black Friday! :)

We actually took to the streets with everyone else yesterday morning and had a lot of fun.

Next year....I will plan a bit better!

Just an update on CD's......I am working on them as quickly as I can. I am hoping to have all the CD's from the Christmas Mini on the 14th out by Monday or Tuesday at the latest with the 15th to follow by the weekend. The 22nd will not be far behind. I have regular sessions to get edited to in the middle of the mini's so I thank EVERYONE for their patience and understanding. This session took place right after ALL the rain we had gotten and no matter where we went...it was wet and muddy. Especially the PUMPKIN PATCH. We still had a blast and everyone went home happy!

So, the most important thing to remember while doing a newborn session is that the newborn...well, controls the session! This little one was a cutie...and so was her big sister. I met this family for the first time about 8 months ago. At the end of their session, they shared with me the good news that they had another little one on the way! We met a few weeks ago to capture them as a family with the "baby bump" before that little miracle made HIS way into the world! Soon to be big brother is a busy busy bee (cute one too!) but he LOVES his momma and dadda! It was a lot of fun!

I have been dying to put this blog tease up! This little princess did sooo great! She was just about a week old and was amazing. She was awake at the beginning for some great shots with mom and then after a quick bottle, she was all mine! We moved her from basket, to chair, to dresser to well, everywhere we could. Grandma was even there for a few shots...priceless! There are soooo many pictures that I had a HARD time picking just a few to share. I apologize with BIG sorry's that I have not blogged any teasers for those who have finished their sessions!! This holiday season is most crazy and my busiest....I am doing my best to try to get caught up and stay caught up. I am working night and day while I am not at sessions to get everyone's pictures ready and sent out. I will TRY my best to throw up atleast one from each session (there are many cuties I reallllyyy want to show off) here in the next few days! The best part of my job is seeing my families each year! Mr. Kylan and his parents came out last year about this same time. The difference...it was HOT, STICKY and OVERCAST. The B Family was great!!! I give them the honor of being the FASTEST regular session of all time! :) We were in and out in 30 minutes. Normally, I might be nervous about leaving a regular session in less than 30 minutes but when I got in my car...I had no doubts that I had MORE than enough shots to fulfill this session. This wonderful couple is celebrating their recent engagement and included in the celebration is their 6 children! They were great! 3 girls who were all camera divas and 3 boys who where...well, BOYS! Okay....you will laugh at me but I told his dad-to-be that he needs to write a book or teach a class on how to be the BEST husband in the world! Talk about sweetness. He honestly treats his wife like a princess. It was amazing to watch them interact and I think you can really see their love thru their pictures. If she needed her shoes, not only did he bring them...he put them on her. It is to no surprise that they are expecting a little miracle and this little one is going to be sooo loved by mom and dad. So...this year pumpkin patch mini sessions were quite eventful. With all the rain we had to reschedule and move people around. Thank you to all my families that were patience and underestanding! Regular Session Fee: $150.00 (plus tax)

(Up to 5 people, each additional person is $10)

Half of your session fee is due within 2 weeks of when we placed your session on the calendar to secure your date and time. Your deposit can be transferred to another date and time only once if need be. The remaining balance is due at the time of the session. Session fees can be paid by cash, check, money order. ($35 fee for returned checks)

If there is a photographers fee or entry fee at the location, this fee is additional and you are responsible for those fees, including any parking fees that might be due on the photographers behalf.

Maternity/Newborn Package

Book your Maternity and Newborn sessions in this great package for only $260 (plus tax).

Your maternity session is best done in the timeframe of 33-36 weeks. We want your belly nice and round but we want you to be comfortable! When you book your package, I will note on my calendar your "due date" and once the baby has graced us with their arrival, we will plan for their newborn within the first 1-2 weeks of coming home from the hospital. It is important to stay in this time frame so we have sleepy, bendable and happy babies!

You will get a CD of edited images from BOTH sessions!

I have sat for months and tried to pick the best way to support my fellow families in the metroplex. One night while sitting at home right after a cold front moved though, I thought about turning on the heater (hence, I hate being cold!). I settled for just a blanket. Then I thought...what about those families that don't have that option of just grabbing a soft, warm blanket??!! What do they do? So...here is the deal!

Chunky Monkey Photography is holding a BLANKET DRIVE for the month of November! If you have a session in November and bring a new unused blanket to your session, you will be entered into a drawing for a FREE session in 2010! For all those who do not have a session booked in November, you have a chance to help us too! During the dates of the CHRISTMAS MINI SESSIONS (Nov 14th, 15th and 22nd), we will be taking blankets at the location of the mini session and you will also be entered into the drawing for the FREE session in 2010. So please help Chunky Monkey warm DFW (or atleast some of it!). ALL Blankets will be donated to the Womans and Childrens Shelters in the area! This was a special maternity session for me. I did not know the family, yet I was super excited to meet them and capture this special time for them. Why was it so special? Kendra, aka: Mommy, is a photographer as well. She had called me and asked if I could be a part of this session. As a photographer myself, I totally understand the feeling of choosing someone else to photograph you family. I was honored that she asked me to do this for her. We had a blast and her little boy is just ohhhh soooo adorable! She already has her CD but I had to post my all time fav images from the session. The wonderful P family invited me into their home to capture them as a family! It was so much fun. We did capture some "family" photos where everyone is looking and (most are) smiling but my favs are the ones of them being a family and Madison playing in her room. How cute is this little lady?!?!!! She was a tough cookie! It was windy and cold and even a few rain drops during their family session and she never even flinched once! Mom and dad had brought her favs with them....books and her tea set. So..thats what we did! I love how it captures a family being a family. What do you do most of your day with a toddler.....you interact and play! We talked about their plans afterwards thoughout the session...they were going to the fair. I always try to have fun with the kiddos so I had asked her if I could join them on their trip. Well, mom told me on the way to the fair she kept asking if I was coming. Oh!! Can you say BEAUTIFUL! This is not even a strong enough word for these two girls. Big sister was fun to work with! We did get our excerise in for the day.....she liked to run like crazy! She played a silly game with me or "I'm not going to smile....." but I got some anyways. I guess I won that game! Then Ms. L.....sweetness all the way around. She pretty much let us move her around to basket to basket while wide awake. Towards the end...she let us know when we were all done. It was an amazing session. I am excited because I just saw them again this past weekend for pumpkins and I can't wait to see their pictures. So.....enjoy!

I have wanted to show off her bridal pictures since the day we took them! She is just sooo beautiful! So...once the wedding day came, I was so excited because not only was I going to get to photograph the wedding...I get to show these off as well. The day came for the wedding....and it was raining for their outdoor ceremony. The bride was SOOOO calm and collected that I was totally impressed! The ceremony was perfect and the cake was YUMMY!!

I was so excited to meet Jennifer and Sam on their wedding day! They picked a very special day to them, and our country. September 11, 2009. Jennifer and many others in the wedding party and guest are or have served in our great military! They thought what better day to share their love but on this memorable day. The Friday started off dark and gloomy but the rain held off during my drive to the Tyler area. Then....it started. Pouring, lighting and thunder. Why did this all matter this much....it was an outside wedding! They made a quick decision to move the ceremony inside and it turned out beautiful!!! We did pictures before the ceremony and the angels above knew to atleast stop the rain for a brief time.....not one drop during pictures! The ceremony was amazing. You could feel the love in the air and could see it all over Jennifer and Sam's faces. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I look forward to seeing you all in the near future!

They were all induced that day and I got text after text within about 3 hours of each other all announcing their births!!! Mr. Easton hung in there and waited out the rain for 2 weeks for his session. BUT...we finally got it done!!! Talk about fun....two under the age of 1...makes for a very interesting session. Luckly, I have known this family for over a year now and we have become friends so Emery (BIG sister) atleast knows me!!! Mr. Easton was of course sooooo adorable and just perfect as well. We tried SOOOO hard to get a GOOD picture of him and his big sister......that was just crazy! We got a few but we will try again and again until we get it perfect! We just had to laugh....Big Sister wanted nothing to do with it! :) She was much more interested in all the good stuff to play with. The last two pictures I had to throw into the blog......Emery is my famous (yes...famous..she is in magazines!!) baby in the bowl. So....I put the bowl down to get Easton ready and she climbed in. WOW...what a difference a year makes! :)

Windy, fussy baby, stalled car (with mom in it!), no juice and a dad who was REALLY trying!!!...those are all the things that were incorprated into this session. When I first spoke with this mom, she had been cancelled on by another photographer 2-3 times for her daughters 1st birthday session. So....when she called to book, we jumped right on it and scheduled her session right away. Then, we had to reschedule due to she ended up going out of town with her daddy. Finally, on the day of the session....all the above happened! I felt so bad because there was nothing I could do to make things better....except to continue to click! These type of situations are what proves 100% over what patience provides to you!! We ended up with No wind, happy baby, mom and aunt arriving...with water and a very tired daddy......but the best part is.....we ended up with some great pictures!! Happy 1st Birthday Princess! Thank you mom and dad for sticking in there with me!

Sweet Baby Kaden!

Baby Number #2....Sweet Baby Kaden. I do not know what it is with me and baby boys.....September was full of BOYS!! October will bring me all girls! But, not only did I have all boys.....they were ALL VERY AWAKE! Kaden was no exception to this rule. BUT, he did GREAT!!! Only cried when he really needed to! His mom and dad are great and they make a beautiful family! Kaden's cousin Jake came over to get a few shots with his cousin. I am sooo excited about some of Jake's pictures too because he SMILED at me! This past year of pictures with Jake, he was saving all those smiles for me....and he unleashed them all during this session. It was great! He was a super good sport and I love the picture with him and Kaden together!

I had fun and can't wait to see you guys again very soon!!!

Babies Babies Babies!!! That pretty much sums up my SEPTEMBER! I love it! After all the rain decided to move out of here, I finally got to meet Baby Logan. Talk about sweetness. He was perfect! I could move him about (with him awake at that!!!), twist, stretch, etc! Mom and Dad wanted to get a picture of baby/dads hands.....this turned out to be a struggle, obviously Logan was wanting to keeping those amazing little fingers to himself for a bit more time. After some prying, we got what I think is a precious memory! And, dad is a huge basketball fan so we thought we would incorporate that into the session. Mom and Dad, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives! He is precious and I can't wait to see you guys again soon!!!

The best thing about beautiful children is that smiles or no smiles....they are still beautiful!!!!! That stands soooo true for this little one who kept most of her smiles to herself. She did grace us with a few during her session. The funny part was once we were done and gathering everything up to leave....she grabbed one of her coat hangers.....and thought it was the BEST thing in the world. Her mom and I just started laughing and I grabbed my camera back out of my bag. This first picture is her look of "don't even think of taking this away!!".......it was so cute! Thanks mom and dad for coming out for the morning and I hope you enjoy your pictures!!!

As promised (and apologies for this not being sooner!!!!) for Ms. K's mom!! Here is a sneak peek from the WET, HUMID yet fun and adorable 6 month session for Ms. K. This was during the week of ALL the rains and floods. We got up that morning and there was no wet stuff falling from the sky so we decided to go for it! We never once got rained on but man, everything was just WET WET WET. Ms. K did not care one bit! She did great! There were TONS of sweet baby bottom shots but I am saving all those for just mom and dad! I am excited and so glad to be a part of watching Ms. K grow up!! See you guys in a few months!!!

Rainy days are good for two things: watering my yard for free and catching up on ALL editing (except for the two weddings from this past weekend that are calling my name!). I even edited the session from YESTERDAY!! And I am sooo glad I got to do that today. Mr. P is adorable. He likes to be "selective" with his smiles. He knows how to work the crowd. He had dad jumping up and down and mom twirling like a ballernia for all the smiles. But....we laughed, had a great time and I think got some awesome shots. Now....again...I was having a lot of fun with my new editing tools.....but I think this session was just calling for them! :)

6 month olds....might be one of my all time favorite ages! They are just so much fun!! We went out to capture this little guy at this awesome stage and his big sister came a long for a few shots. The fun part of the session...I learned what Goo-Goos's are. Definition: what mom is going to "get" if you don't smile! :) Its so awesome to see how all moms have their own special way to get their kiddo's to smile. I had a blast at this session and I can't wait to see you guys again soon!

So...all you will remember Baby K from a few weeks ago. Mom and I got back together to capture more pictures of the little one with another special man....Kendra's other grandpa! He was getting ready for brain sugery when we were doing the first session and he could not join us. We also got some Grandpa, Mom and Baby pictures since we did not get a chance to do that at the last session...it got TOOO hot for little K. Well, he is two months old now and growing like crazy! I can't wait to see you guys at Christmas! :)

This great family was all in town to celebrate a 3rd Birthday!!! So...what better to do...lets go to take pictures! They braved out into the heavy flooding we were having on Saturday morning to get these great pictures to cherish forever! I had a blast and I hope you guys did too! There is a sterotype on 3 month olds. They are usually a very difficult age to photograph because they are in a "inbetween" stage of newborn and learning to sit up...etc. BUT...this little girl blew that sterotype right out of the water. Her mom wanted a mommy and me session and we got a lot of super cute shots on the backdrop and in her nursery. Then....then little C did what every photographer dreams about...she FELL ASLEEP! The type of sleep that you can do whatever you want to them and they don't move. So...we did just that...we played! We could have gone all day but I had to call it quits and go pick up my little one. While I was downloading her session, I also had just recieved a lot of new items for editing. So.....I played with some of them. You be the judge...do you like them? Too much? Of course, mom gets all the original edited pictures on her cd and these are just extras. I think I like them. Still learning how to play with them but I think what we were using as props...it works. You tell me!

The sleepy eyes, the feeding after feeding, and the numerous diaper changes is a good description of this session. This little one was only 4 days so he was still giving mom and dad a good run for their money! He def did not like it when I would uncover him....he wanted to be nice and cozy under a blanket...in his daddy's arms. I hope to see this little one again very soon! Thanks mom and dad! Congratulations....he is AMAZING!
